Databus Bypass Modules
Databus modules are used to communicate with the vehicles computer at the OBD2 Data connector or Canbus wires. This reduces installation error and saves up to 60% of the installation time. Crimestopper Systems with DP Series have a direct Data Port Plug-In for the Databus bypass module. The 1-Way Data Port can Transmit information to the vehicle computer. The 2-Way Data Port can also Receive information from the vehicle computer like Door, Hood, Brake and Tachometer without running wires. This eliminates conventional wiring between the Alarm/Remote Starter and the bypass interface module.
Two (2) Series of Bypass Modules:
SL Series - Vehicle Specific Platform. These have a 2-Way Data Port to the Alarm/Remote starter and are self learning. There is a Flash Link Updater (FLU-100) available, a USB cable to update and re-program the modules with the latest vehicle information.
One For All Series (OFA) Multi-Vehicle Platform. These are re-programmable for Multi-Vehicle Platforms. They require a Web Link Updater™ (OFA-123) USB cable to update or change software. These have a 1-Way and 2-Way Data Port to the Alarm/Remote starter and are self learning.
